Layout

We wanted a new site that was fresh, bright, and colorful, and here you have it!! The color palette we used is called “Giant Goldfish” from ColourLovers.com. Credits for the adorable text smilies go to Aneesah! :yay:

This layout is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1. It also passes the Section 508 requirements for accessibility. :zomg:

Still working in cross-browser compatibility. ^^;

Plugins

Plugins are one of the things I love most about using WordPress, and this site wouldn’t be as awesome as it is right now if it weren’t for the following scripts of amazingness:

  • Akismet for filtering spam comments that get submitted on the site.
  • Custom Smilies for allowing me to define the text needed to display smileys, to replace and add more to the default smilies, and to add them as clickable smilies in the comment form. ^_^
  • FeedBurner FeedSmith for tracking every possible RSS subscriber to this site.
  • WordPress Database Backup for automatically backing up this site’s MySQL database and sending to my email every day.
  • WWW Redirect for automatically redirecting users to use the www extension when visiting the site.
