Hello everyone,
With the launch of our new website, we promise to try to stay up to date with all the events of our sub-organizations as a new year’s resolution! With that being said, here’s what’s going on this week!

Also, we’ve been trying really hard to include all of our sub-organizations in our posts, but if we happen to miss an important event for you, feel free to leave a comment as we will get things squared away. Thanks for your time!

General Announcements:

This whole week, the sisters of aKDPhi are tabling for Helping Hands of Haiti. Come out to the Reitz Collonade from 10:00AM to 2:00PM to decorate a helping hand. aKDPhi donates a dollar per hand decorated to Gators United for Haiti.

Also, AASU Presents:

Norman Ng, a magician who uses his own unique methods, has been performing for over 17 years! Come out Monday @ Orange and Brew, 8:00PM to 9:00PM. Take a look at our flyer for more information on our speaker series!

INK Magazine is looking for a new Finance Director.

INK Magazine’s Mission is to serve as an informational resource to the young and evolving Asian American community in Gainesville. Our goal is to present entertaining and informative articles on the most recent trends and issues that impact Asian American culture. Driven by intellectual curiosity, our aim is to Connect, Inform, and Inspire our readership base into a unified, well-educated, pro-active social force.

We are looking for exceptional individuals who want to be apart of the UF Ink Magazine team for 2010-2011. The Finance Director is in charge of all financial transactions as well as executing and implementing fund raising ideas. In addition, this person is also responsible for communication between the printing agency and the magazine. The Finance Director will be responsible for leading a sales team to sell ads.Applications are due by March 31, 5pm. Questions? Contact law.eic.ufink@gmail.com

Wednesday: February 3rd, 2010.

-CASA Big/Little Week Event!
Laser tag today @ 8:00PM at Lazer Runners [1301 NW 76th Blvd] next to Funworks. The first 20 people play for free so come early!

-KUSA’s 2nd Spring Semester General Body Meeting!
The meeting is going to be at 6:30PM. Location is Floyd-Griffin FLO100. They are going to add a K-Pop touch in the meeting so come out!

-CASA’s New Year Dance Practice, Coed and Girl’s.
CASA’s dance practice going to be split up into two groups: Coed and Girl’s dance. The Coed Modern Dance is at 7:00PM to 8:00PM and the Girl’s Modern Dance is going to be at 8:00PM to 9:00PM. The practices are going to be held at Wachovia @ the Reitz. If not, it’s going to be at the “Secret Room”. Contact Aaron Chao and/or Trina Tran for more information!

Thursday: February 4th, 2010.

-CASA Big/Little Week Event!
Funworks at 7 pm [1311 Northwest 76th Boulevard]. There is going to be $10 Unlimited Roller Skating with Regular Skate Rentals included as well as Swamp Golf and Rock Climbing.
OR
There is a $16 with $1 discount for every 10 people: 2-Hour Unlimited Go-Kart Wristband plus Unlimited Roller Skating with Regular Skate Rental Included, Swamp Golf, and Rock Climbing.
Come have a CASAwesome time!

-FSA 2nd Spring Show!
The meeting is going to be @ 6:30PM @ Williamson 100. Learn about AKA’s Reverse Week next week as well as the Barrio Fiesta Weekend! There will also be a Barrio Fiesta Committee meeting afterwards as well.

-The Sisters of aKDPhi’s Founder’s Week.
The Sisters of aKDPhi are tabling for The World’s Largest Balloon Fight Against Breast Cancer @ Reitz Collonade from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Come out to find out more information about this event.

Friday: February 5th, 2010.

-AASU’s Freshman Leadership Program (FLP)
*FRESHMEN ONLY*
There will be a retreat for freshman and the destination is unknown!
What to bring:
1. $3.00 Retreat Fee
2. Sleeping bag/pillow/blankets
3. Munchiez/food!
4. Toothbrush/hygiene necessities

-CASA Big/Little Week Event
There is going to be a movie night at 7:00PM at Angel Cheong’s apartment @ Tivoli E218, park anywhere! [2841 Southwest 13th Street] They will be showing a Chinese movie and English movie.

Saturday: February 6th, 2010

-Tacachale Fair
AASU is hosting a fair this weekend for Tacachal from 9:00AM to 11:30AM for people with disabilities. Come help our and volunteer! Click the link for more information and rides can be provided!
