When: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 Open: Noon Where: Peabody Hall APIA and Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. presents the third lunch series of the semester about sex and dating on Valentine’s Day from 11:45-12:45PM at Peabody Hall Room 411. We will be having an interesting discussion on each step of a relationship leading up to the topic that not many are comfortable in talking about – sex. APIA went there, and we will be having a speaker about sex and heath from the Gatorwell. Refreshments and chocolate will be served! Hope to see you all there! Fred Korematsu Day is January 30th, and to observe this day APIA Affairs will be screening the documentary “Of Civil Wrongs and Rights: The Fred Korematsu Story.” “[The film] brings to life for the first time the inspirational story of an unsung American civil rights hero, and demonstrates the power of ordinary citizens to rise up against injustice.” Fred Korematsu was a shipyard welder in California in 1942 when Executive Order 9006 forced more than 100,000 Japanese Americans into internments camps.
